Dynamo PR wins ThanksDr web brief

ThanksDr, a private healthcare website aiming to rival NHS Direct, has appointed Dynamo PR. The agency plans to use consumer press in conjunction with social media campaigns to raise the profile of ThanksDr.

Johnson King will handle a media campaign to increase brand awareness of existing client Kony, an app developer. The agency will aim to position Kony as an expert in the field of app technology. Account director Laura Mead said: 'A big challenge is going to be breaking through the clutter.'

Octopus Communications has recruited Laura Slade as client services director. The role was created for Slade and aims to facilitate growth within the business. She is appointing account directors, managers, executives and graduates to join her team.

Mindjet, whose software helps to present information in new visual formats, has hired Brands2Life to build brand and product awareness. Brands2Life plans to focus on educating a range of media about the programme, but sees communicating the extent of Mindjet's services as a key challenge.

AxiCom has won Saba Software as a client after a competitive pitch. It will aim to position Saba as a leader in people and talent management. The agency's offices across Europe helped it to win the account because of Saba's desire to expand into France and Germany.

Blokely, a new and independent men's lifestyle website, has appointed Burr Media to handle its PR and comms strategy. The website, blokely.com, includes in-depth features on entertainment, music, grooming, lifestyle and sport in a straightforward style for men in their twenties to forties.
