Flack: Flack

1. This week Flack put on the finest couture Primark has to offer and tottered off to exclusive women's networking club B.Hive, run by godmother of PR Lynne Franks, for a special PRWeek networking evening on the theme of women in PR. Flack would like to point out guests were not obliged to pose with a copy of their favourite mag, but it looks like nobody told freelancer Fiona Chow and Eulogy's Lara Leventhal.

2. 'Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.' Only Lynne Franks could have an audience of senior PROs ranging from Chandler Chicco's Alison Wright to Porter Novelli UK MD Sally Ward sat cross-legged on the floor, rapt. Franks reminisced about her 'Ab Fab years', including changing outfits for every show at London Fashion Week to support the designers.

3. No. Bianca Lee-Chang from Publicasity, Laura Macdonald from Skywrite, Becky Eatough from Triggerfish and Alexia Sciplino from Publicasity were not admiring Flack's £5.99 stilettos. They were agreeing with the consensus of the room, which debated everything from combining career and family to finding a robust measurement for PR. See, it wasn't all lipstick.
