PC games player chooses Bastion to raise its profile

PC gaming PR specialist Bastion has been appointed by Sports Interactive, the software development team behind the best-selling Championship Manager games.

PC gaming PR specialist Bastion has been appointed by Sports

Interactive, the software development team behind the best-selling

Championship Manager games.

Championship Manager is a football management simulator. The latest

release, Season 99/00, was the UK’s best-selling PC game over Christmas,

selling 117,153 copies in the first six weeks of release.

According to Bastion director Ciaran Brennan, the campaign will focus on

raising the profile of the developer rather than the game, which is

already an established brand.

’We will go beyond the gaming press and specifically target the average

player’s media needs through the football press, national press and

radio and lifestyle magazines,’ said Brennan. The agency was appointed

without a pitch.
