ICFDS is the parent company for Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) and Socatots and is the largest football coaching organisation in the world, with over one million children training regularly at its centres.

Futebol de Salão is a five-a-side version of football of South American origin that is played with a smaller (size 2), heavier (465g) ball that has virtually no bounce.

The game is very popular in Brazil and is said to be pivotal in the development of players including Pele, Zico, Ronaldinho and Kaka.

The Leeds-based agency will provide PR support to the BSS and Socatots franchises both in the UK and internationally as well as supporting its head office initiatives including brand partnerships.

Founded in 1996 by Simon Clifford, graduates of the BSS programme include Manchester City and England’s Micah Richards, Tottenham Hotspur’s John Bostock and Leeds United’s Aidan White.

Socatots is the world’s first soccer-specific programme for pre-school children and, since it was launched in 2002 by Clifford, has opened more than 80 franchises including set-ups in Australia, Dubai and Norway.

In the UK, there are around 400 BSS training centres and 120 Socatots centres.
