Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has opened an office

in the Philippines to take advantage of the country’s economic

recovery.

New companies are moving into the Philipines, and F-H has already won

work on a retained basis with Intel; Canadian telecom firm Nortel; and

3M reprographics spin-off Imation.

The Manila office is headed by vice-president Simon Schweigert, who also

runs the Singapore office.

Rick Sullivan, Fleishman-Hillard executive vice president, said: ’We

worked for the Philippines government last year to promote the growing

economy, and this has so far been borne out by the success of our office

there.’ He said the office, which opened in April, had a projected fees

take of up to dollars 300,000 in the first year.

Fleishman-Hillard is to set up two more offices in Asia in the coming

weeks.
