Public sector PR campaigns are to be recognised with a new category

in the PR Week Awards this year.



The Public Sector campaign category is open to in-house PR practitioners

in Government departments and public sector agencies such as Government

executive agencies, local and health authorities.



The award will be given for the most effective communication programme

on a single topic. The new category is to be sponsored by the COI/TAS

Partnership, the joint initiative of the Central Office of Information

and Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds.



In another change to this year’s awards, the Broadcast category has been

split into two: Broadcast, covering PR material produced for TV and

radio; and Corporate Video/ Business TV. The deadline for entries to the

1997 PR Week Awards is 18 July. Entry forms and further details from
