DIARY: Eager Slice team is not backwards in coming forward for the camera

Specialist youth marketing PR agency Slice has found some of its recent press campaigns resulting in its staff getting in front of the camera.

Specialist youth marketing PR agency Slice has found some of its

recent press campaigns resulting in its staff getting in front of the

camera.

In recent weeks, the magazine photo diary section in Saturday’s Times

has featured several Slice clients, including DJ Pete Tong and singer

Skye from Morcheeba. But in both instances pictures of various members

of the Slice team have appeared among the celebrities they promote.

Slice director Sacha Taylor-Cox defends the situation as purely

professional.

’It is essential to be in the right place at the right time with your

client when the camera is clicking and some times you get caught in the

crossfire,’ she says.

Last month, Slice’s Claire Woodcock was caught in a photo diary of DJ

Pete Tong’s night at the Ericsson Muzik Awards (PR Week, 22 October),

while last week’s diary featured ’crossfire’ pictures of Taylor-Cox (in

red, above) and MD Simone Young at the opening of ’superclub’ Home,

where they mixed with leading lights in the UK dance scene.

As you can see, they look as if they are doing everything to avoid being

caught on camera. Better luck next time.
