Computer supplier Citrix Systems has decided to take its PR in-house after a four-year relationship with The Weber Group, under chairman and CEO Larry Weber. The account had been worth an estimated annual fee of pounds 450,000.

Computer supplier Citrix Systems has decided to take its PR

in-house after a four-year relationship with The Weber Group, under

chairman and CEO Larry Weber. The account had been worth an estimated

annual fee of pounds 450,000.



Citrix has been increasing its in-house staff over the past six months,

hiring Joe Horine from systems manufacturer NCR as its director of

worldwide corporate communication, and former Compaq PR executive

Douglas Wheeler as senior VP of marketing. Horine is understood to have

been building the in-house PR team since he joined the company. In

future, Citrix is expected to use agencies on a project basis only.
