Craigie Taylor, the PR and sports sponsorship agency, has recruited
Shandwick associate director Ceri Schooling as head of PR.
Schooling, 35, will run the 14-strong PR team at the Guildford-based
agency which has clients including Vodafone, Virgin Cinemas and Our
Craigie Taylor was ranked as the 50th largest UK agency in the most
recent PR Week Top 150, with fees in excess of pounds 2 million.
She replaces Victoria Stacey, who recently went part-time at the
Kate Waterfall, managing director at the agency, said: ’Schooling was an
ideal all-round candidate with lots of consumer experience. Our strength
is the personality of our people and she fits in perfectly.’
Schooling spent 11 years at Shandwick, latterly at Shandwick Welbeck,
where she handled accounts such as Lever Brothers, Sheaffer Pens and ICI
Paints. For ICI she handled the ’House’ campaign, which won the 1998 PR
Week award for the best consumer campaign.
Craigie Taylor’s sports sponsorship division has also recruited two new
staff. Sacha Palmer and James Souter will work on the Vodafone cricket
account. Palmer, who joins from Octagon where she was sponsor-servicing
manager on the 1999 Cricket World Cup, becomes senior account manager
and Souter, who has just completed an MSc, becomes England team liaison
Meanwhile, Giles Morgan, previously a board director, has taken over as
head of sport while Sarah Houghton-Berry is on maternity leave. The
