Craigie Taylor, the PR and sports sponsorship agency, has recruited

Shandwick associate director Ceri Schooling as head of PR.

Schooling, 35, will run the 14-strong PR team at the Guildford-based

agency which has clients including Vodafone, Virgin Cinemas and Our

Price.

Craigie Taylor was ranked as the 50th largest UK agency in the most

recent PR Week Top 150, with fees in excess of pounds 2 million.

She replaces Victoria Stacey, who recently went part-time at the

agency.

Kate Waterfall, managing director at the agency, said: ’Schooling was an

ideal all-round candidate with lots of consumer experience. Our strength

is the personality of our people and she fits in perfectly.’

Schooling spent 11 years at Shandwick, latterly at Shandwick Welbeck,

where she handled accounts such as Lever Brothers, Sheaffer Pens and ICI

Paints. For ICI she handled the ’House’ campaign, which won the 1998 PR

Week award for the best consumer campaign.

Craigie Taylor’s sports sponsorship division has also recruited two new

staff. Sacha Palmer and James Souter will work on the Vodafone cricket

account. Palmer, who joins from Octagon where she was sponsor-servicing

manager on the 1999 Cricket World Cup, becomes senior account manager

and Souter, who has just completed an MSc, becomes England team liaison

officer.

Meanwhile, Giles Morgan, previously a board director, has taken over as

head of sport while Sarah Houghton-Berry is on maternity leave. The

agency’s sports sponsorship division handles clients such as whisky

brand The Famous Grouse, which sponsors the Scottish Rugby team and the

Vodafone Derby.
