The Telegraph Group, publisher of the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, has appointed Propeller Marketing Communications to handle ongoing trade PR for its advertising sales department.

The Telegraph Group, publisher of the Daily Telegraph and Sunday

Telegraph, has appointed Propeller Marketing Communications to handle

ongoing trade PR for its advertising sales department.

Propeller was appointed on retainer without a competitive pitch and on

the strength of a recent project for the newspaper group to publicise

research into the type of people who read different sections.

’It gained a great deal of coverage in advertising trade magazines,’

said Propeller managing director Martin Loat.

Propeller will advise the Telegraph’s senior advertising and sponsorship

executives on their trade media profile.

The agency will report to Chris White-Smith, display advertising

director.

However the work will involve liaising with Joy Grover, corporate

affairs manager, who heads an in-house team of five handling all other

internal and external communications.
