PUBLIC SECTOR: Review signals shake-up at IDA PR function

The communications department at the Improvement and Development Agency (IDA), a body set up last year to help with the modernisation of local government, is set for a shake up after a strategic review. The IDA has created the new top post of head of PR and marketing and will further refine the department from its current remit covering publications, marketing and PR to focus on marketing, media relations and public affairs. The role of press and communications head, currently held on an acting basis by Christine Johnson, will cease to exist. The review was conducted over the last month by the senior management and PR consultancy Reputation.
