Vauxhall signed agreements to be lead partners of The FA (England), Scottish FA, Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Irish Football Association, with all four contracts running up until the end of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Paul Mace, MD of Macesport and former comms head of Leicester City, commented: ‘British football continues to enjoy unprecedented levels of excitement and public interest and Vauxhall’s sponsorship programme has already delivered substantial cut-through and traction within the first few days of launch.

‘All four associations are iconic football properties and our aim is to help establish Vauxhall as the driving force behind British football.’

According to media reports, part of Vauxhall’s sponsorship will see the resurrection of the home internationals, with the four Home Nations playing each other on a regular basis.

Macesport will provide a dedicated Vauxhall football media centre and will handle all media enquiries and PR activation relating to the sponsorships.

Other Macesport clients include Football Pools, Leaders in Football, Grass Roots Football Live and Pukka Pies.
