BORDER LINES: Dearborn - Vines leads Ford communications

Ford Motors has hired Jason Vines as vice president in charge of communications. Vines, until recently Nissan North America’s vice president for external affairs, reports to Ford’s global CEO Jac Nasser, at its Dearborn headquarters in Michigan. Vines spent 15 years in PR at Chrysler and two years in Washington DC with the American Automobile Manufacturer’s Association. He fills the post vacated last year by the departure of Vaughn Koshkarian to head Ford’s Asia-Pacific operation.
