Dennis Publishing has appointed Talk Luxury PR to handle launch

publicity for its first women’s title, PS magazine. The account was won

after a competitive pitch and covers the launch period and the next six

months, at which point it will be reviewed.

The team is led by account director Michelle Norman who will report to

Liz Hawkes, marketing manager for PS.

Talk Luxury is the sister company of Talk Loud PR, which handles PR for

men’s magazine Maxim - also a Dennis Publishing title. Dennis is better

known for publishing titles in the technical sector, such as Mac User

and PC Zone.

Talk Luxury has been handed responsibility for organising the launch

event, targeting trade media and will also be handling media

relations.

PS magazine’s unique selling point is that every product featured - be

it in the editorial or advertising pages - is available to purchase

either by telephone or the internet.

It is aimed at ABC1 women aged between 25 and 45 and hits the newsstands

nationwide this month.

Fees for the PR account have not been revealed, but the magazine is

backed by a pounds 1.5 million above- and below-the-line campaign

including national TV and press advertising. The TV ads will star Tamara

Beckwith.

P Dennis Publishing has also hired celebrity booker Upfront TV to

arrange the guest list for the inaugural Maxim Women of the Year awards,

which take place next week.
