Manage CO2 appoints Westgate PR

Manage CO2, the green technology provider, has appointed Westgate PR to handle its corporate PR and marketing activity in the UK, following a competitive pitch. Manage CO2 provides soft-ware to measure businesses' carbon footprint. It has hired a PR agency for the first time following the opening of its offices in the UK, in a bid to become a market leader.

Esri UK, a firm that provides technology for businesses to map and publish geographic information, has recruited Sarah Webb as PR and corporate comms manager. She joins this month from Intec Telecom Systems and will develop the company's corporate comms strategy and product-centric campaigns.

Berkeley PR has promoted Paul Stallard to become director of the agency's technology practice. Stallard, who moves from account director, is charged with mobilising the agency's growth and development. Berkeley PR recently recruited seven new hires across all experience levels. The hires include Sarah Hughes, former PR manager at Microsoft, as account director.

Speed, a tech agency, has promoted account director Sophie Hodgson to its board. She will head a portfolio of technology clients, including Virgin Media Business, and has responsibility for people development within the agency.

Teamspirit Public Relations has brought in David Jones, former director at digital marketing agency Galileo, as group digital director. Jones has previously worked at 3 Monkeys, where he founded its digital marketing offering, Conde Nast and At Teamspirit, he will ensure client campaigns fully use social media and advise on the integration of digital PR within broader marketing comms.
