PUBLIC SECTOR: H&K takes charge at accountants’ body

The Institute of Chartered Accountants has asked retained agency Hill and Knowlton to take temporary charge of its press and PR after the departure of former media head Gay Hinton. Harry McAdoo has been seconded from an H&K team which had been working on political communications for the institute as acting head of press. McAdoo will oversee a nine-strong team which includes a regional communications officer and six regional communications managers. McAdoo will report jointly to communications director Sarah Alder, general secretary John Collier and executive director Michael Hackney.
