GCI London has won the pan-European account for Procter and Gamble’s haircare brand Pantene.

GCI London has won the pan-European account for Procter and

Gamble’s haircare brand Pantene.

The account was awarded after a pitch against Bell Pottinger, the

brand’s UK agency. GCI has been appointed to work on an integrated

marketing and advertising campaign with a multi-million pound budget,

along with other agencies within the Grey group, including Grey

advertising, G2, the sales promotion agency and MediaCom, the media

buying arm.

The PR team will be involved in drawing up a template for the European

PR strategy and programme which will then be implemented by local

agencies in 26 countries.

The account will be headed by Fiona Rollo, director of GCI’s consumer

division. She reports to marketing director Achim Daub.

Pantene is the leading haircare brand in the UK and includes shampoos,

conditioners and styling products.

GCI works on several other brands for Procter and Gamble’s health and

beauty and fabric and homecare divisions, including the fragrance ’G’ by

Giorgio of Beverley Hills, and Oil of Olay anti-ageing product Total

Effects.
