The Scottish Government has launched an integrated comms campaign to raise awareness of the services available to help people stop smoking. The six-week campaign, called 'Smokeline', is being handled by Weber Shandwick Scotland, alongside digital marketing agency Story and advertising agency Mediacom.
The University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham has reintroduced a top comms role and appointed a former council PR to fill it. Claire McGill joined the university last week, taking the first comms manager post at the university in eight years. McGill is heading up a team of four staff, including a media officer, PR officer and two internal comms officers.
Hillingdon Council has launched a campaign that aims to encourage residents to report suspected abuse of people of all ages. The campaign shows that abuse can be financial and emotional as well as physical, and can often affect vulnerable elderly people or those with disabilities.
