Hoover names consumer shop Margaret Street as retained agency

Vacuum cleaner firm Hoover has handed its retained comms account to boutique consumer agency Margaret Street.

The Golley Slater Group-owned comms shop will support the launches of the brand's range of eco-friendly products: the Green-Ray range.

The brand claims that its new products will save up to 50% on energy usage and will be 80% recyclable.

Margaret Street will also work on promoting Hoover's existing vacuum cleaner ranges.

Hoover marketing communications manager, Peter Regan said: 'Hoover is actively developing new products that respond to what the consumer wants from their vacuum cleaners.

'PR will play a very important part in communicating this to both existing Hoover consumers, as well as new ones who haven’t previously considered the brand when selecting a vacuum cleaner.'

The Green-Ray range will launch at the end of January.
