Burson-Marsteller boosts team in China with senior promotion and appointment

Burson-Marsteller China has bolstered its team with a senior promotion and appointment.

Former Burson-Marsteller China president, Cindy Tian, has been promoted to executive chairwoman. Tian has been with the agency since 2006.

In addition, Chris Deri has been appointed CEO and market leader for the region. Deri joins the agency from Edelman, where he was executive vice president and led the agency's CSR and sustainability practice.

Tian and Deri will report to B-M's Asia-Pacific president and CEO, Bob Pickard.

Pickard said: 'The powerful combination of Cindy Tian and Chris Deri gives Burson-Marsteller an incredibly strong senior leadership in China which I feel confident will accelerate our momentum in a vital market.'
