MEDIA BRIEFS: Frankfurter Zeitung plans English edition

The International Herald Tribune and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) are planning the launch of an English language edition of the German paper in early 2000. The edition will have six to eight pages of news, comment and special interest articles, and will be inserted into copies of the International Herald Tribune distributed in Germany. The FAZ is one of the biggest selling quality titles in Germany.
