MEDIA BRIEFS: Capital Radio acquires Scottish station

Capital Radio has bought Beat 106, which transmits to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the rest of Central Scotland, covering 60 per cent of the Scottish population. The station covers the 15-39 age group, and its licence covers 2.6 million adults. The station was launched in November 1999 and has a 5.5 per cent share of all listening hours in its transmission area.
