Consumer PR unit gets green light at Beattie Media

Beattie Media has created a dedicated consumer PR division based at its Glasgow office.

Beattie Media has created a dedicated consumer PR division based at

its Glasgow office.



Beattie partner Laurna O’Donnell will head the eight-strong unit,

bringing the agency’s consumer clients under one banner for the first

time.



The division is being created by the transfer of six account handling

staff from the agency’s crisis, corporate and City practices. It has

been created in response to the agency’s recent Marks and Spencer win

(PR Week, 7 April) and the feeling among senior management that the

agency could do better in the high-profile direct-to-consumer

market.



Other clients for the division include Walkers crisps and WH Smith. The

agency’s most recent win is Scotland’s market-leading dairy, Graham’s,

who signed up two weeks ago.
