The guide for financial and corp comms practitioners gives an overview of current legal and regulatory requirements and how those impact on PROs working in the sector.

The publication will be launched at a breakfast seminar, where Miranda Lane, author of the guide, and a representative from the FSA will talk about the latest regulatory developments.

The FSA has recently threatened to toughen up disclosure rules for regulated firms around the leaking of price-sensitive information. The guide details the FSA's guidelines, issued in September, which include routing all interaction with journalists over price-sensitive information via comms professionals and recording such conversations.

The FSA said that if the recommendations did not lead to improvement in the number of leaks over the next 12 months, it would consider making new rules.

The launch seminar will take place at CPC Venues, 4 Chiswell Street, London, from 8.30am and tickets are available for Corporate and Financial Group members and non-members.
