1. This week the EdenCancan team organised a traditional Spanish tomato fight in London's Golden Square for its client MTV to mark the fact that the MTV Europe Music Awards are being held in Madrid this weekend.

2. Waterstones has named experiential agency Not Actual Size's new book The Middle Class Handbook as its book of the month. The book, which started as a blog in 2009, explores the sub-tribes of the new middle classes, including 'chaveau riche', 'Jamie Oliver's Army' and 'Saga Louts'.

3. There must be something in the water at Hale-based agency Peppermint PR. Account director Emma Jones and account manager David Williams tied the knot last weekend to become the second husband and wife in the agency. Williams vowed that his performance at work would not be altered by the fact his wife is now his line manager.
