Citigate invests in Viewtime TV analysis system

The broadcast division of Citigate Dewe Rogerson has reached a tie-up agreement with media systems specialist Peaktime for its on-line television information and analysis system, Viewtime.

tie-up agreement with media systems specialist Peaktime for its on-line

television information and analysis system, Viewtime.



Used by TV channels and production companies in France and the UK,

Viewtime presents a combination of minute-by-minute audience ratings and

analytical tools that are synchronised with images to explain the

fluctuations in viewing figures.



Richard Pemberton, broadcast manager at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, said

that Citigate had invested in the latest industry technology in an

attempt to put it at the cutting edge of broadcasting PR.



He said: ’Not only can we provide clients with the number and profile of

viewers that they reached, but we can also use the system to establish

where and why they gained and lost audience.’



Peaktime says it is the first time its TV monitoring tool has been used

by a PR agency.



Viewtime, first aimed at TV research departments, is now being adopted

by programme makers, production companies and media agencies.
