How do some bosses manage to inspire such devotion to duty in their

staff. A team of nine women from Epsom-based JBA Public Relations ’power

walked’ a half marathon, at night, wearing only bras on their top

halves.

They were taking part in last weekend’s Walk the Walk event, which

raises money for Breakthrough, the breast cancer charity. The race began

at Battersea Park at midnight on Saturday, and proceeded through central

London. An estimated 3,500 took part - no doubt relieved at the balmy

conditions.

The inspiration for this act is JBA’s CEO Jenny Bailey. She was

diagnosed with the illness last year but, following extensive treatment

has returned to full time work at her agency.

Account executive Jo Keep says the crowd of women got ’quite a big

reaction’ from the public, but they didn’t feel self-conscious. The team

has raised a sum in the region of pounds 2,500, with the help of clients

such as Toshiba and BT.
