PUBLIC SECTOR: Whizz Kidz boosts PR to raise its profile

Whizz Kidz, the charity which aims to empower children with disabilities by providing them with mobility aids, is to boost its PR with the appointment of a second-in-command to communications manager, Jill Cochrane. The move comes as part of the charity’s commitment to raising its profile and establishing itself as a household name over the coming year. Cochrane recently retained London PR agency Clarion Communications on a three-month contract to provide press and PR support for the charity’s tenth birthday celebrations but said she wanted to bring in a permanent executive to work on raising awareness over the longer term.
