The Office of the Rail Regulator, the non-ministerial body which

regulates the rail industry and protects the interests of passengers, is

seeking a senior level PR executive to better communicate the

organisation’s role.

The newly-created position will manage an in-house communications team

of three and report to strategy and planning director Keith Webb, one of

the senior executive team working alongside the rail regulator. The move

comes seven months after the Paddington rail crash after which left the

media and the public confused as to the extent of the powers of the

regulator to hold to account any of the companies involved.
