TransContainer, Russia's largest rail freight container operator, has brought in College Hill to support its $1bn listing in London and Moscow. The transaction represents the first public offering of shares in a subsidiary of Russian Railways.

MHP Communications, the consultancy formed by the merger of Mandate, Hogarth and Penrose, has appointed Martin Forrest as a director in the asset management team. He joins from Knight Vinke Asset Management, where he was director of comms, and has worked at M: Communications, Maitland and Cubitt Consulting.

Brunswick once again led the mergermarket global M&A league tables for the year to the end of Q3. The agency advised 31 deals worth a total of US$224bn. FD advised on 25 more deals than Brunswick to top the tables by volume.

David Waller has been named head of media relations at Man Group.

He was head of comms at GLG Partners before it was acquired by Man Group. Miriam McKay, head of investor relations, is expanding her role to take on financial comms and Andy Knox will head internal comms.

PeerTV, a provider of internet technology for TV service providers, has brought in Redleaf Communications to support its AIM IPO.
