Healthcare: The Week in Healthcare

Changes at Parker Forbes.

GlaxoSmithKline has put a medical comms brief out to pitch for an as yet unnamed GLP1 diabetes drug, which is currently understood to be at phase two test stage and awaiting approval. Agencies have received requests for information for the brief and are expected to receive a further request for pricing later this month after a shortlist has been drawn up.

Packer Forbes MD Alexa Forbes has taken on the newly created role of chief executive, while deputy MD Anna Gibbins steps up to the MD role at the independent healthcare PR agency. Two other senior staff have also been promoted. Helen Rae moves to associate director and Annabel Lee to senior account director. The promotions coincide with Packer Forbes' 18th anniversary and a move of offices from Clapham to Chelsea Harbour.

CCD PR has been appointed by German weight-loss pill product Formoline to handle a launch into the UK market. The agency will engage with national consumer health media to capitalise on clinical research due out in the New Year. It will also support the growth and development of the Formoline brand with the use of expert spokespeople and case study placement.
