The out-of-home advertising specialist has briefed the agency to bolster its international reputation among the business and financial community, in addition to targeting governmental organisations.
The firm operates in 26 countries, with Fishburn Hedges providing support across these locations via Ketchum and other Omnicom resources, as well as other agency partnerships.
Key target markets include the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia and the US, and increasingly important China.
The agency will report to William Eccleshare, CCI’s president and chief executive, who joined the group in September 2009. Eccleshare was previously head of EMEA for advertising group BBDO and held a similar role at WPP Group.
CCI has grown in recent years through acquisitions and now accounts for 22 per cent of the UK out-of-home market. Under Eccleshare, the firm wants to bring these acquisitions together to become a fully integrated and unified brand, which is also an integral aspect of Fishburn’s brief. The Fishburn Hedges team will be led by Neil Hedges, the agency’s chairman, and director Jason Nisse.
Hedges commented: ‘This is a firm with fantastic potential in an industry that does not get the attention it deserves, and we can’t wait to get out there and make sure the CCI message is delivered.’
Traditionally out-of-home advertising has not enjoyed the same reputation or exposure as other advertising media, and Fishburn will attempt to increase understanding and knowledge of the industry among potential clients.
The agency will also explain the complex ownership structure of Clear Channel International, part of US-listed Clear Channel Outdoor, which in turn is majority-owned by private equity-run media conglomerate Clear Channel Communications.
