PUBLIC SECTOR: PR reorganisation at Countryside Alliance

The communications department at the Countryside Alliance, which champions rural issues, is to be revamped in the face of the departure of deputy communications director Pamela Morton and senior press officer Paul Latham. PR director Nigel Henson is to bring in a press and PR manager and a press officer and will not recruit a deputy to replace Morton. The PR manager will oversee a department of three taking charge of press office operations and tactics day-to-day. Morton is leaving to join Cervical Cancer Charity Jo’s Trust as fund-raising head while Latham is planning a move into agency PR.
