Shell International Oil Products, with annual sales of over pounds

62 billion, has appointed Bulletin International as its retained

broadcast consultancy.

The account was won in a two-way pitch, against Medialink

International.

Medialink had previously carried out broadcast PR work for Shell on a

project basis.

Bulletin will launch a pan-European campaign for Shell, to help the

company position itself as the leader in future fuel, and to help it

’own’ the debate about sustainable energy sources. Shell has already

been involved in developing new fuels such as motor gas, and is working

on innovations such as hydrogen-powered cars. ’We are keen to bring

these issues to a wider European audience, and we believe television is

the ideal medium to lead this campaign,’ said Tim Ford, vice-president

of fuels for Shell International.

Mark Lunn, director of client services at Bulletin will lead the

account.

He said: ’The campaign will heighten Shell’s commitment to sustainable

mobility.’

Bulletin will liaise with other agencies used by Shell including

Fishburn Hedges, which handles corporate PR and BFK, which works on

Shell’s sponsorship of the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
