EMEA hire at Life Tech.

Life Technologies, the US biotech company, has hired David Robertson as senior corporate comms manager, EMEA. It is the first time Life has had in-house comms in this region. He joins from his role as head of public affairs at The Wise Group.

Souter PR has been retained by Ossur, which provides treatment for infants with plagiocephaly or 'flat head' syndrome. The agency will create a campaign to raise awareness of the condition and of the treatments available to correct it using helmets.

Bristol-Myers Squibb, the biopharma company, has appointed Patrick Hopkinson to the role of director, market access and external affairs in the UK. In this role, Hopkinson will lead the 40-strong market access team, which incorporates PR and public affairs, national policy and government relations. He joins the company from GlaxoSmithKline, where he spent 14 years in various commercial roles.

Neville McCarthy Associates has recruited Andrew Perera to the role of associate director. He was previously executive director of global comms at MAC Cosmetics.
