Fishburn Hedges will work with the member-owned co-operative to raise the profile of the organisation and its business activities in the UK.

The brief will also see the agency working in co-operation with Swift’s local and regional agencies (including Fishburn’s GFC/Net partners Intermarket in the US and Charles Barker in Germany) to raise its profile worldwide.

The agency won the brief via a competitive pitch and has commenced work on the account.

Swift, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, connects over 9,000 banking organisations, securities institutions and corporate customers across 209 countries.

The co-operative also organises one of the world’s premier financial services events, Sibos, which will be held in Amsterdam in October. Fishburn Hedges will also support the organisation’s media relations efforts around the event.

Jeremy Cohen, head of external communications at Swift, commented: ‘Fishburn Hedges impressed us with its knowledge of the financial services industry and ability to provide creative and strategic ideas to raise Swift’s profile locally and globally. We very much look forward to working together.'

Paul Farrow, director, Fishburn Hedges will lead the account. He said: 'Over 35 years, Swift’s communications platform, products and services have allowed financial institutions and corporates to reduce costs and manage risks more effectively. Building on that heritage demands an innovative communications strategy, and we’re delighted to be working with Swift to help shape and deliver that.’
