The agency will work with the government of the British territory for the next three years, delivering a media and stakeholder relations programme across its international network.
The brief is understood to be largely in response to the increased international interest in the islands, driven by discoveries of potentially profitable oilfields in territorial waters this year.

Edelman won the account after a competitive pitch against four other agencies and already handles FIG's public affairs. Keene Public Affairs was the previous incumbent on certain aspects of the brief.
