MEDIA BRIEFS: Music and sport separated out at IPC

IPC is to split its music and sport division in two in the wake of the appointment of former US Maxim editor Mike Soutar (PR Week, 28 April). From July, 20 special interest titles including sports titles such as Rugby World, Golf Monthly and World Soccer will become part of the country and leisure media division, headed by publishing director Yvonne Ramsden. Soutar will be left with eight top-selling titles in the music and men’s lifestyle areas, including Loaded, NME and Later.
