SAN FRANCISCO: Former CNN producer Carla De Luca has joined

Burson-Marsteller as a director in its media relations practice, just

four months after she joined Hill and Knowlton San Francisco as managing

director.

Before her H&K stint, De Luca worked for Beyond.com as senior manager

for editorial features. However, the bulk of her experience has been in

broadcast journalism.

While she has not yet been directly replaced, H&K has hired a new MD for

its San Francisco public affairs practice. Esther Watkins Gulli arrived

last week from the US treasury, where she was director of strategic

planning, scheduling and events. She also worked on President Clinton’s

1996 re-election campaign and on the Democratic convention in

Chicago.

- Burson-Marsteller has appointed Simon Pangrazio as MD of its Singapore

office. He most recently headed B-M’s corporate and financial practice

in Australia.
