Robinson leaves Shandwick to expand Cubitt

Shandwick director Philip Robinson has moved to financial

specialist Cubitt Consulting after only seven months.

Robinson, a former Daily Telegraph associate City editor and deputy City

editor of the Sunday Times, joined Shandwick in November as a director

responsible for accounts such as Euro Sales Finance. Before that he was

a director at Citigate Dewe Rogerson. He said he left Shandwick because

’the opportunities offered at Cubitt were far in excess of those I felt

to be available at Shandwick’.

Cubitt managing partner, Simon Brocklebank-Fowler, said Robinson was

hired for his dot.com sector knowledge, his access to national and City

editors and his strong financial media background.

’He will not be working on our current accounts, but has been taken on

to build further clusters of high profile clients,’ he said.
