PUBLIC SECTOR: Szembe exit leaves PR gap at Corporation

The Corporation of London’s PR director Tony Halmos is on the hunt for a new head of press and corporate affairs after the departure of Nigel Szembe who has joined DeutscheBank as its new marketing manager. The PR job at the corporation of London is one of the most unusual in local government PR, combining local council communications issues with promoting the City as a financial centre to international companies. The PR head is one of three senior communications managers reporting to Halmos and working alongside the heads of information and events. It has responsibility for the 12-strong press office team.
