Public Sector: Architects’ Society to boost public affairs

The Royal Society of British Architects is to sharpen up its public affairs activity with the addition of a government relations manager to its communications department. The position will come under the control of communications chief Roula Konzotis. A spokeswoman said the move had come about because the society felt it was being left behind in the new political climate, especially in the light of devolved government in the regions. The incumbent will be responsible for relations with the Government and key agencies at national, regional and European levels.
