Stop Press: McIntyre is chief press officer at MoD

The Ministry of Defence has appointed Ailsa McIntyre as its first female chief press officer. McIntyre replaces civil servant Daren Gregg, whose stint at the ministry has come to an end. McIntyre is currently chief press officer at the Cabinet Office and press secretary to Margaret Beckett.

chief press officer at the Cabinet Office and press secretary to

Margaret Beckett.



McIntyre starts in March at the MoD, overseeing 17 press office staff

and reporting to director of news Martin Howard.
