The Grayling Group, parent company to a host of British PR and

public affairs consultancies, has radically restructured its senior

management.

Nigel Kennedy is promoted from the post of Grayling London’s MD, to CEO

of the firm’s newly-formed Grayling executive committee, which replaces

the existing board of directors. This follows the take-over of the

Grayling Group’s former parent, Lopex, by the ’diversified agencies’

division of French media giant Havas Advertising last year (PR Week, 23

July). Michael Burrell, MD of Westminster Strategy, becomes

vice-chairman of the executive committee, under chairman and Havas board

director Jean-Michel Carlo.

Burrell’s post at WS is taken by director Leighton Andrews, who also

becomes CEO of Grayling Political Strategy. This is to cover Grayling’s

four public affairs outlets: Westminster Strategy, Strategy in Scotland,

Strategy in Wales and European Strategy.

The group’s public relations businesses will also come under a new

umbrella.

Grayling CEO Amanda Riddle now has general reponsibility for Grayling’s

PR operations in Nottingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Dublin, Birmingham and

Bristol.
