Fuel will begin work on 1 August following the decision by Open Haus not to repitch after 14 years of working on Nokia’s business. Open Haus is currently in talks with Nokia to continue working with the company at a regional level.

The new brief comes as Nokia faces turmoil worldwide after failing to gain traction against Apple, HTC and Blackberry smartphones - last week Nokia announced a 40% fall in second quarter net profit.

Pressure is growing on CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasyuo to stand down leading to him calling for an end to speculation over his resigning at the Q2 results.
