The agency was appointed following a complete review of PR across the Seven Seas portfolio, which includes Joint Care, Cod Liver Oil, Femibion, Multibionta and Haliborange, initiated after recent changes within the Seven Seas management team.

‘These are exciting times for Seven Seas and we have a great opportunity to continue to strengthen our market leadership and create innovative marketing solutions across the portfolio,' said Seven Seas interim marketing director Neil Hepplewhite.

Virgo director of consumer health Sian Boisseau will lead the account team. She added: ‘We understand there are a lot of conflicting messages about the benefits of vitamins, minerals and supplements in the media and are looking forward to helping the team at Seven Seas navigate and optimise opportunities.’

Seven Seas was founded in June 1934 as British Cod Liver Oil Producers and was acquired by Merck KGaA in 1996. It is now one of Merck Consumer Health Care’s top three business units.
