International: O&M strengthens its top team in Thailand

General manager Vitaya Chevarunotai has been appointed to group chief

operating officer with a brief to drive O&M’s global ’360 degree

branding’ strategy which integrates advertising and other communications

disciplines.



Chervarunotai’s promotion is one of several high-level staff

appointments, which mirror O&M’s aim to lead the industry in the

country.



Witawat Jayapani, director of Brandconsult, has been appointed managing

director of O&M Advertising and has a role to lead all related

operations. Tina Kelly and Abhijeet Ray have been made strategic

directors and Freddy Bee is client service director. Seree Patum has

been made business director of OgilvyInteractive, and Rook Soratana

succeeds him as MD of Results Advertising.



The restructuring is in response to the industry’s dynamics and creates

added value for clients, said an O&M spokeswoman from the company’s Hong

Kong HQ.



’The appointments are considered a major step under O&M’s network

strategy, which focuses on the utilization of all disciplines for brands

and their image building,’ she added.



Sunnadha Tulayadhan, chairman of O&M, Thailand and Vietnam, said: ’The

moves are aimed at enhancing our competitiveness and further

strengthening our leadership in the marketing communications

industry.’



The O&M Group in Thailand has five subsidiary companies: O&M (Thailand),

OgilvyOne Worldwide, Ogilvy PR Worldwide and Artistree and Results

Advertising.
