Paul Hawksbee, co-founder of seminal football title 90 minutes, and

IPC sports publisher Sean Singleton, have joined internet broadcaster

Switch2.

Hawksbee and Singleton will be managing director and head of

programming, respectively, of Switch2’s sports channel. They join former

Loaded editor Tim Southwell and former IPC publisher Adrian Pettett at

the broadcaster, which is also recruiting for music, film, comedy and

games channels.

Hawksbee co-founded 90 minutes in 1990. He later launched Goal at IPC

and then became chief of the publisher’s football group. Most recently

he has been at TV production company Avalon, where he produced Skinner

and Baddiel’s Fantasy World Cup. Hawksbee said of the new sport channel:

’Most things I have done have had an element of humour to them, I’ll be

looking for a funny spin generally. I’ll be looking to make it fun and

watchable and not too dry.’
