BORDER LINES: Cisco moves hi-tech PR to Newell

HONG KONG: Cisco Systems, the world’s largest internet networking company, has moved its hi-tech PR account to Newell Public Relations after working with Euan Barty Associates for two years. The account, awarded without a pitch, will be led by senior consultant Ivan Theodoulou and reports to Cisco’s Singapore-based Asian PR manager, David Ko. The move marks a return to a long-term agency relationship for Cisco, since the technology giant was a founding client for Newell in 1993. Cisco continues to use Shandwick for public and corporate affairs advice.
