PUBLIC SECTOR: Labrey heads RIBA government relations

The Royal Institute of British Architects has brought in Jonathan Labrey as its first head of government relations. Labrey, who reports to communications director Roula Konzatis, will spearhead RIBA’s lobbying activity and will act as the interface between RIBA and the all-party parliamentary group on architecture which was resurrected at the end of March after a period of inactivity. The role was created by RIBA to give the body a stronger voice in Westminster after similar roles had been created to lobby the devolved Assemblies of Wales and Scotland. Labrey previously worked for lobbying company APCO.
